Sports logos are intended to be used not only by the team members and coaches they are also a staple for fans looking to support their favorite teams. As this team voted on "Rockies" to be their name the design needed to encompass the name generated from the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada.

The illustration of the 3 peaks not only celebrate the mountain range but also shows significance to the 3 most famous mountain peaks in Canmore (The Three Sisters).

The team is comprised of female players and the color palette needed to represent women in a strong light. Purple, for centuries has been used with the ideation of royalty and excellence. The gold accent was used to reinforce this idea.
